The Egelers have been a farming family for the past fifty years. They have about 120 acres near Ludington, MI. After spending years perfecting the raising of their Limousin and Red Angus cattle, the Egeler's were ready for a new challenge. In 2021, they decided to try their hand at raising American Wagyu. And boy are we glad they did!
Purebred Wagyu are crossed with traditional beef cattle breeds to create American Wagyu Beef. The result is a perfect blend of famous Wagyu buttery marbling and the robust beef flavor that American beef is known for. It is the best of both worlds. During the worst winter weather, the cattle are housed in a spacious barn and provided with GMO-free hay that's grown on the farm. The cattle are always free of growth hormones and antibiotics.
