How much beef is included in a half-steer?

Around 200 - 225 lbs. Each cut is individually packaged to make storage and use easier. Each half steer includes (weights are estimates only):

  • 6, 2-3 lb. Round Roasts
  • 1, 2-3 lb. Rump Roast
  • 1, 4-5 lb. Top Sirloin Roast

How long will my beef last?

All half-steers will be delivered fresh, never frozen. Unless you plan on eating it all right away, you will need to utilize your freezer. Once frozen, beef will stay good and maintain its quality for 1 year. When you are ready to enjoy it, simply take it out, let it thaw and you're ready to go!
