How do we keep our prices so low?

Because we have build close relationships with our farmers and producers over the years we tend to get better pricing from them. Additionally we buy whole animals and have them processed to our specifications bunghole animals instead of individual cards is much more cost-effective. Finally, delivering to a pick up location where we delivered to you saves time and fuel expense. We passed all of the savings onto you and we hope you will notice how well priced are healthy local foods are.

Can I edit my order?

Even after your order has been submitted, you can edit this order anytime before your order deadline date. Add items simply by shopping the store as normal. Remove any items by selecting your order details. If you're having difficulties adding or editing your order please send us an e-mail and we'll work with you to solve the issue.

How is meat packaged?

Meat is packaged by the pound and frozen unless otherwise noted. It is tightly wrapped in cryovac and ready for your freezer or ready to be thawed.

Are there any other fees?

In order to help cover fuel and labor costs all orders incur a flat $5 handling charge. There are no additional fees on orders picked up at our warehouse in Ann Arbor.

Can you deliver directly to my home?

Yes! In some cases, you can make special arrangements to have us deliver directly to your home. Additional fees may be applicable. Please send us an email to make that request.

When will my card be charged?

Cards will be charged after items have been weighed and packed which is typically one or two days prior to delivery.

Pickups

What is a pickup location?

Pickup Locations are simply places where we meet you with your order. Common locations are home driveways or parking lots. Each location is organized by a volunteer Location Leader who helps to facilitate each delivery.

How do pickup days work?

Arrive at the pickup location at your scheduled time. You will be greeted by our company's friendly delivery driver. Provide the name on your order and we will carry it to your vehicle. (Your order will be in boxes so you will not need coolers unless you are traveling more than an hour.)

How much freezer space will I need?

As a general rule of thumb, one cubic foot of freezer space will hold up to 25 pounds of meat.

How is my order packaged?

All meat items come individually packaged and frozen. Your items will always be packed in boxes or bags for your convenience.

What should I bring on pickup day?

We encourage you to bring a copy of your order's confirmation email or have it accessible on your phone. This can help speed up the process.

Can a friend pick-up my order?

Yes, just be sure to have an active credit card on file so your order can be charged prior to pickup.

Can my Location Leader hold my order?

This is strongly discouraged because of the extra burden that it adds for our volunteer Location Leaders.

Products

Are the products seasonal or available year-round?

Majority of our products are available year-round with the exception of produce.

How long will products last in the freezer?

Cuts will remain fresh up to one year from process date. Once product has been thawed, they should be cooked within two to three days of refrigeration.
