The Egelers have been a farming family for the past fifty years. They have about 120 acres near Ludington, MI. They breed Red Angus and Limousin cattle, both of which are especially suited to harsh weather conditions. Limousin cattle originated from France, while the Red Angus have Celtic origins. The Egeler cattle are pasture-raised most of the year. During the worst winter weather, they are housed in a spacious barn and provided with GMO-free hay that's grown on the farm. The cattle are always free of growth hormones and antibiotics. Meat of the Limousin is finely textured and tender, while Red Angus beef rivals Black Angus in marbling and taste.
